About the Advanced Placement Grant Program:
GUIDELINES TO WCCF AP GRANT PROGRAM
The mission of the Washington County Charitable Foundation (WCCF) is to support the educational and cultural needs of the community and by awarding scholarships for students pursuing a college degree. To fulfill this goal, the WCCF’s main purpose is to provide funding for college scholarships for Washington County high school graduates. Consistent with its college scholarship program, the WCCF provides funding for Washington County high school teachers in the Advanced Placement program. The guidelines and instructions for submitting a request are included below.
Guidelines:
- Eligibility: Currently employed in a Washington County WI high school and eligible to teach an AP course
- Supported activities: Expenses related to teaching an AP course.
- Stipends: The Foundation does not fund stipends
- Limits: WCCF funds may supplement other funding, but funding may not exceed total expenses.
Instructions:
The Foundation’s policy for providing support for faculty AP professional development is as follows:
- Timing: You may use the grant at any time before the end of the fiscal year (July 1, 2025-June 30, 2026).(exceptions considered during the pilot year program)
- Budgets:
- Submit an itemized list of expenses for your travel, research or other related expenses.
- Include funding provided by any other source, including the school district and any funding that you are providing personally.
- Grant disbursement: AP grants will be made through a reimbursement program. All expenses to be reimbursed require receipts and the Foundation’s reimbursement request form. Reimbursed expenses may not exceed the approved amount of the grant.
- Form: Complete the request form and any required attachments and submit to info@wccf-wi.org with AP grant request – (Your School) in the subject line.
- Support: Please include any supporting material. These may include but are not limited to departmental recommendations, conference programs, need for support for your particular school district, a proposed budget, or other relevant material.
- Report: Recipients must submit a report of their activity to be reimbursed for their expenses. The report should include a short explanation of how their award was able to better prepare their high school students for their college career. Submit to Terry at terry@wccf-wi.org with an expense reimbursement form.
Process:
Applications for the first round of grant requests will open on March 12 and close on April 12 with announcements made on April 30.
