The Scholarship Application is open from late November until March 1st.
Please note that you apply once-a-year, and we find the scholarship(s) that match your qualifications. Scholarships are awarded to any student who graduated from a Washington County High School.
Scholarships available are for your upcoming Fall Semester as a:
- 1st year (New Freshmen), 2nd year (Sophomore) and 3rd year (Junior) student.
- You must be attending an UW System University in order to be eligible to receive a 1st year or 2nd year scholarship. The scholarships and scholarship amounts may fluctuate year to year.
- You must be attending an accredited 4-year University to be eligible for a 3rd year scholarship.
- Any student who is currently attending 2023-24 academic year at UWM-Washington County is eligible to apply for all scholarships.

Scholarships Available
AAUW Scholarship, $1,000
Awarded to a 2nd or 3rd year female student, age 28 or older. Resident of Washington County, pursuing post-secondary education leading to a degree, not eligible for most existing scholarships and subsidies, financial need.
Peter Ayer Memorial Scholarship, $250
Awarded to a 2nd year student, vocal music major.
Paul Bales Memorial Scholarship, $750
Awarded to a 3rd year student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Preference to major in Dairy Science, Agriculture, or all areas related to the sciences. Financial need, full-time student, preference to a student attending UW Madison.
Thomas & Kathleen Brigham Health Sciences Scholarship, $2,000
Awarded to a 3rd year student. Pursuing a career in Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, Nursing, or Medical Sciences. Should have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Involvement in athletics, participation in campus related extra-curricular activities.
Britton STEM Scholarship(s), 2 Awards of $1,000
Awarded to a 1st year student and a 2nd year renewed scholarship. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Intending to major in one of the STEM fields of study: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics. Academic scholarships, financial need, and leadership or community service.
Broan Nu‐Tone Scholarship, up to 3 Awards of $1,500
Awarded to a 1st year student, graduated from Hartford Union High School. Entering college for the first time. Related to a Broan Nu-Tone employee, or worked at Broan Nu-Tone.
Mr. & Mrs. James R. Brown 3rd Year ($2,000) Fine Arts/
Humanities Scholarship
Awarded to a 3rd year student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Pursuing studies in the humanities or fine arts.
Michael Cahill Memorial Scholarship, $600
Awarded to a 3rd year student, possible renewal 4th year if student maintains criteria. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Intention to major in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics. Absent one of these majors, a student who is majoring in Computer Science or Mathematics will be considered. Academic achievement, financial need, ethical responsibility.
Judith Clark Memorial Scholarship, $300
Awarded to a 2nd or 3rd year student. Must be a female student, age 22 or older. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Academic & scholastic achievement, courses taken, financial need.
Curtis A. & Adele S. Collins Nursing Scholarships, $10,000 (# of awards may vary)
Awarded to a 3rd year student (up to 4 scholarships available- paid over 4 semesters). Accepted into a 4-year UW System Nursing Program at the junior level. Nursing is the priority, scholastic achievement and financial need are considered. Must be from West Bend area, have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
Curtis A. & Adele S. Collins Achievement Scholarships, $1,500 to $10,000 (# & amount of scholarships vary)
Awarded to a 3rd year student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. High achievement and financial need are considered. Must be from the West Bend area and attending an UW System University.
Lindo & Anna Diamanti Memorial Scholarship, $1,000
Awarded to a 3rd year student. Enrolled as fulltime student and intended to major in Natural Science, Mathematics, or Engineering. Academic and scholastic achievement, work ethic, financial need. Have & maintain at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
Howard H. Evans Memorial Scholarship, $500
Awarded to a 2nd or 3rd year student. Have & maintain at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Preference given to student working at their university. Financial need.
Farmington Scholarship, $1,000
Awarded to a 2nd year student that attended Farmington Grade School, or someone who lives in Farmington. Volunteer and community involvement. Financial need and academic achievement. If unable to award, it may be awarded as a 2nd year HOPE Scholarship.
Brad Ford “Rex Wonder” Continue Doing Theatre Scholarship, $1,000
Awarded to a 3rd year student. Have & maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Pursuing a degree in Theatre or Theatre Arts – or a related Film or Animation Field. Student who has demonstrated an interest in performance, ideally in a design or support role and has been an active participant in local/community theatre. Financial need.
Forte Bank Scholarship, $500
Awarded to a 2nd or 3rd year student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Financial need, academic proficiency. Clear focus on chosen occupational field, enrolled as a fulltime student.
Luis & Iris Garcia Scholarship(s) ($ amount & number awarded vary)
Awarded to 1st and 2nd year students. Academic excellence, fulltime student, and have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
Hoberg Scholarship, $1,500
Awarded to a 2nd year student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Academic achievement, participation in campus related extra-curricular activities. Service to community or work experience.
H.O.P.E. Scholarships, 6-10 awards of $1,000 each
Awarded to 1st and 2nd year fulltime students. Financial need, have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
Jan Hubbell Memorial Scholarship, $1,000
Awarded to a 3rd year student. Preference for a West Bend West High School graduate. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Pursuing a degree in guidance counseling or education.
Jaycees Scholarship, $750
Awarded to a 2nd year student, 17-21 years of age. Academic record, work record and/or community service.

Awarded to 1st year student(s) attending fulltime. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Academic achievement, participation in campus related extra-curricular activities. Service to community or work experience.

Awarded to a 2nd year student(s) attending fulltime, paid out over 6 semesters. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Must be on an Engineering path, to graduate with an UW System University Engineering Degree.
Linda Lindquist New Beginnings Scholarship, $500
Awarded to a 2nd year student, age 23 or older. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Must be enrolled at least 6 credits a semester. Student that is or has overcome adversity in their life.
Kathleen & David C. Loomans Education Scholarship, $1,000
Awarded to a 3rd year student attending fulltime. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Enrolled as an Education major. Academic achievement, participation in campus related extra-curricular activities. Service to community or work experience.
Lord Pre-Engineering or Science Scholarship, $500
Awarded to a 2nd year fulltime student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Taking Pre-Engineering or Science classes with goal to get undergrad degree in Engineering or the Sciences.
Phyllis R. Malzahn Scholarship, $10,000
Awarded to 3rd year student, paid over 4 semesters. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Fulltime student pursuing a degree in Education, preference given to special education major, particularly at the elementary level. Academic achievement, participation in teacher education field experiences. Financial need.
Matthew J. Martin Memorial Scholarship, $1,000
Awarded to a 2nd year fulltime student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Financial need; pursuing post‐secondary education leading to a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree in the UW System.
Mehring Family Scholarship, $500
Awarded to a 1st or 2nd year fulltime student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Financial need, preference given to first generation student to attend college.
Physics Scholarship, $1,000
Awarded to a 3rd year student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Completed at least one physics or astronomy course before third year with a grade B or better. Be accepted as a fulltime student into a B.S. or B.A. program in S.T.E.M. field that requires physics in its degree plan at one of the UW System Universities.
Madalyn Rodney Memorial Scholarship, $500
Awarded to 2nd or 3rd year student. Dependable, with progress made toward musicianship with seriousness of purpose.
Dr. Sami Saad Memorial Scholarship, $1,000
Awarded to 3rd year fulltime student. For student attending UW Madison, UW Stevens Point, or UW La Crosse. Majoring in Plant Sciences, Landscape Architecture or Microbiology.
Wallace & Marion Scheunemann Scholarship, $2,000
Awarded to a 2nd year fulltime student. Have & maintain at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Intending to major in a medical science discipline. Academic ability, service to the community or work experience, financial need.
Reuben Schmahl Scholarship, 2 Awards of $1,000
Awarded to a 1st year student who preferably resides in Washington County. Have and maintain at least a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
Harry and Lucille Sheski Scholarship, $4,000
Awarded to a 3rd year fulltime student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Intending to major in a Natural Science, Education, Allied Health, Journalism, Criminal Justice or Business.
Shine on Emily Scholarship, $500
Awarded to a 1st or 2nd year fulltime student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Student interested in a helping and healing profession. Strong volunteer experience, and christian values.
Wayland & Darlene Tessar Scholarship(s), $2,500 (# of awards vary)
Awarded to a 2nd or 3rd year student. Ties to or resides in Kewaskum community. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Pursuing a career in Business Administration; financial need.
The Thomas Family Scholarship, $2,000
Awarded to a 2nd year student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Demonstrated leadership, good character. Participation in campus related extra-curricular activities. Financial need.
UWWC Friends & Alumni Scholarship, 2 awards of $750
Awarded to a 3rd year fulltime student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Academic excellence, associate of arts degree awarded after 2nd year.
Vern & Nancy Van Vooren Scholarship, $1,000
Awarded to a 1st or 2nd year student. Must have been a foster child for at least 6 months from the age of 16 or older. Maintain at least part-time enrollment during the scholarship year. Must decide that their desire to secure their best future is by educating themselves to be self-supporting and a good citizen of society.
Washington County Campus Foundation 1st Year Scholarship, $1,000 (up to 4 Awards)
Awarded to a 1st year fulltime student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Academic achievement, participation in extra-curricular activities. Service to community or work experience.
Washington County Campus Foundation 2nd Year Scholarship, $2,000 (up to 3 Awards)
Awarded to a 2nd year fulltime student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Academic achievement, participation in campus related extra-curricular activities. Service to community or work experience.
Amber Wilde Scholarship, $1,000
Awarded to a 2nd year fulltime student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Pursuing a major in Pre-Medicine.
Yogi Memorial Scholarship, $500
Awarded to a 2nd year fulltime student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Active participant in campus or local community theatre. Major in Theatre Arts or Communications.
Matt Zillig Global Citizenship Scholarship, up to 2 awards of $1,700
Awarded to 1st or 2nd year fulltime student. Have & maintain at least a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Must demonstrate a positive interest in diverse world cultures, foreign travel. Social problem solving in foreign countries or between diverse cultures. Participates in global citizenship volunteer activities.
