GUIDELINES TO WCCF GRANT PROGRAM

The mission of the Washington County Charitable Foundation (WCCF) is to support the educational and cultural needs of the community and by awarding scholarships for students pursuing a college degree. To fulfill this goal, the WCCF’s main purpose is to provide funding for college scholarships for Washington County high school graduates.

In addition, WCCF seeks to support other educational and cultural activities in the community by partnering with local nonprofits who provide programming that is compatible with the mission and work of WCCF. To this end the WCCF will consider requests for grants that will enrich the educational and cultural well-being of the residents of Washington County.

The guidelines and instructions for submitting a proposal are:

Guidelines:

1. Eligibility: Nonprofit organizations that qualify for tax exempt status under the IRS rules and who improve the quality of life for Washington County residents
2. Supported activities: Educational or cultural activities or events that enhance the overall quality of life in Washington County.
3. Limits: WCCF funds may supplement other funding, but WCCF funding will not be the sole support of the project. No grants to individuals (does not apply to scholarship applicants), political or religious causes. Preference will be given to organizations where WCCF current or past board members or Ambassador Council members are involved.
4. Reports: A report that details the success of the project will be required at the end of the funding period.

Areas of Interest: High school athletics, library or other literary programs, equipment needs and cultural diversity.

Please complete the form by clicking on the box below and include attachments listed. For this round of grant disbursements, submissions will be accepted beginning March 8, 2025. The deadline for submission is April 8, 2025. Awards will be announced by May 20. Projects must take place during the fiscal year starting July 1, 2025 and must be completed by June 30, 2026.
